Finding Comfort in Mother God

by Aimee Moiso

A couple of months after my mother died of cancer last year, I was walking home from work and talking to God. That's my usual time for conversation with God-while walking, I process my day, think about the evening, mull over the events of my life. That day, I was talking to God about my mom.

I am angry, I don't understand, I am hurting and I want some answers, I said. Where is my mom when I need comfort?
I'm right here, God said.

Read how the author's relationship with god and how her faith was transformed as her understanding of God was broadened through her search for comfort. only in this issue of Horizons.
