News and Information about Presbyterian Women and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Women of Faith Honored

This year's General Assembly Women of Faith breakfast celebrated three women accomplished in business, finance, or economics, and whose Christian faith influenced their work. The Women of Faith breakfast was sponsored by the Women's Ministries Program Area of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Nancy Aber Goshow, AIA, is senior managing partner of Goshow Architects, LLP. Ms. Goshow has built an award winning firm, one of the largest female-owned architectural firms in New York City. She was the partner-in-charge of the restoration of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, which won the 1992 President's Historic Preservation Award from the President's Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. Her work has been published in leading architectural journals. Goshow Architects' staff is intentionally international in scope, and the partners are committed to mentoring young architects. Nancy Goshow is a deacon in Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City.

Susan d'Olive Mozena is senior vice president of operations of Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, facilities that serve approximately 2,000 senior residents. She entered health care administration to live out her Christian faith while serving in a management role. Ms. Mozena ensures that the highest professional standards are met in a human service environment where the pressure to cut cost is significant. Presbyterian Villages has never asked residents to leave due to their inability to pay. Susan Mozena is an Elder at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, a Presbyterian Church in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.

Norma Ross is the owner of the Bob Ross Dealerships in Centerville, Ohio, which includes Buick, GMC, and Mercedes Benz franchises. She is the only African American female owner of a Mercedes Benz franchise in the world, and sales in her Buick dealership rank tenth in the nation. She prays daily for God's guidance in her work. In the workplace she fosters a sense of kinship amongst workers so that all feel that they belong. Her respect for community has extended Bob Ross Dealerships' involvement throughout the Dayton area. Norma Ross is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Ohio.
