Ask Jane
More Than the Second Sunday
in May?
by Jane Parker Huber
"Why can't mothers
be mentioned in Horizons? I've found that the Bible says 'Honor
thy father and mother' at least five times, and it speaks of
a mother's love in many other places. If we don't honor them
we aren't following the Bible's teaching. When we honor our parents
we aren't putting them on a pedestal but are reminding them that
they are needed and that their job is very important. Please
give mothers back their day on the second Sunday in May."
