The opening plenary session began with a burst of song and
color as Global Partners greeted one another in a unique processional
that set the tone for the rest of the Gathering.
PW elected a new mod-team for the 2003--2006 triennium---(left
to right) Lillian Oats, vice-moderator for justice and peace;
Kathryn Baker, vice-moderator for mission relationships; Kris
Gerling, moderator.
Prior to the Gathering, more than 60 Global Partners toured
Louisville and attended orientation sessions, preparing them
for the rest of the week's events.
