Prenuptial Agreements It was an idea worth pursuing, thought Geneva Rademacher, Forbearance’s director of religious education. Membership was expanding with growing numbers of young adults—singles in various professions and with varying life experiences—with the outcome being an upsurge of engagements, partnerships and romantic alliances. New love can be tricky, though, and a number of these couples, individually or together, were now seeking advice and direction from Geneva and Rev. Hustisford to negotiate relationships under scrutiny for long-haul suitability. That kind of counseling was, of course and in part, what they were there for, but how about providing some mentors from within the congregation—older couples for younger couples about to embark on what they hoped would be a lifetime together?
