About the Authors
Kay Huggins's passionate concern for adult education
has led her to write curriculum for Presbyterians throughout
her ministry. Currently, she is associate for education and evangelism
at Valley Presbyterian Church, Green Valley, Arizona. Before
accepting this call, she organized a new congregation, Rio Rancho
Presbyterian Church, for the Presbytery of Santa Fe and served
as its pastor for 14 years. Her first pastorate began in 1977
at Allegheny Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, Pennsylvania.
Kay's education credentials include a bachelor of aesthetics
degree from New Experimental College, Denmark, a master of divinity
from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and a doctorate of ministry
from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. With her husband
George, a computer specialist with Indian Health Service, Kay
lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she enjoys a backyard blooming
with desert plants and visited by many birds.
About this study, Kay says, "Though there are substantial
differences in culture and context from the first century to
the present day, the gospel themes of Ephesians can encourage
contemporary Presbyterians to build communities where no one
is a stranger."
