Health in the Bible? Often, when I am asked to speak to a congregation, I begin my presentation by asking, “How many of you view health as a ministry?” Typically, I see several timid hands rise, and perhaps one or two arms lift more confidently into the air. While many may not think of health as a congregational ministry, we are very familiar with Christ’s acts of healing and restoration to wholeness. Health ministry connects those acts of healing and restoration to our role as caring members of a congregational community.
