Blessing of the Hands Because touch is such an integral part of the work of nurses and other health professionals, congregations who want to recognize and honor people involved in health care or care-giving often utilize a Blessing of the Hands. A Blessing of the Hands can be held as part of a Sunday service, or taken to area hospitals or healthcare facilities and provided as a brief interfaith blessing in a chapel or even during shift change in a nurse’s station. In the September/October 2007 issue of Horizons, get a Blessing of the Hands service to honor your congregation’s or your PW’s health professionals.
