A view of the Danube River and Budapest
Join 28 of your sisters and several PC(USA) mission coworkers on a visit to church partners in Eastern and Central Europe. The 2008 Global Exchange traveled to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Carpath-Ukraine to renew and build relationships with women and church partners. In addition to the Exchange, a smaller group of six journeyed on to Russia. The Exchange focused on ending all forms of violence and advocating for the rights of women and children, particularly among the Roma people. Let this issue take you to the places visited by the participants, hear thoughts and conversations that occurred, and help you make connections with our PC(USA) and ecumenical partners in faith.
Horizons is the magazine of Presbyterian Women. It is planned and designed for individuals and PW circles, newcomers and longtime participants in the organization. You'll notice resources are scattered throughout the magazine—in sidebars, boxes and sometimes entire articles—because Presbyterian Women is made up of leaders, both current leaders and women with leadership potential. Participants in Presbyterian Women are also active—in their congregation, community and world—so we work to include ways you can respond to what you read in Horizons.
