by Ann Padden-Rubin In 1996 one of the members of Presbyterian Women from the Presbytery of Santa Barbara returned from a Global Exchange program that took her to Southeast Asia. During her educational journey, she learned about the plight of thousands of women and children being exploited through human trafficking. Upon her return to Santa Barbara, she reached out to Presbyterian Women all across the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii, telling them about the appalling situation and how the church is helping.
