Eucharistic Window Raphael Seitz, In popular culture, “spirituality” seems to imply an amorphous faith—an acknowledgement of some higher power, without specific disciplines or practices attached to it. And, for many, “sacraments” brings to mind the formalities of church life—set liturgies and practices that distance us from a living, breathing faith. The authors in this issue dispel these commonly- (and perhaps subconsciously-) held notions. They expose the sacraments’ revolutionary messages of God’s love. They show how the sacraments connect us with God, and how, if we’re open to radical message of the gospel, our communities can become spiritual, inclusive homes for all of God’s children.
Horizons is the magazine of Presbyterian Women. It is planned and designed for individuals and PW circles, newcomers and longtime participants in the organization. You'll notice resources are scattered throughout the magazine—in sidebars, boxes and sometimes entire articles—because Presbyterian Women is made up of leaders, both current leaders and women with leadership potential.
